Spanish language for Yoga Teachers

Join Us Online Or In Person For Our Spanish Language Course: Learn To Teach Yoga In Spanish.

Over 400 million people in the world speak Spanish as a native language, putting it second behind Mandarin and ahead of English. It can be rewarding and fun as well as a competitive advantage to be able to work bilingually. Not only can you cater to the Spanish speaking population in your own country, but you can travel and work in Latin America, where yoga is gaining much more recognition, or in Spain - a wildly popular yoga-tourism destination, with many well-established studios.

Our course has been prepared by trained language professionals with years of experience guiding students on their learning path. We have run over 30 editions of this course since 2015, testament to its quality and popularity!

Comprising eight classes of 2 hours, written assignments and worksheets, plus access to recordings of many of our Spanish asana classes, our language course will prepare you to communicate effectively in Spanish during a yoga class.

  • Start from the basics with a focus on body parts, verbs and movement

  • Build into more complex topics such as meditation and pranayama

  • Work with native Spanish-speaking Yoga teachers

  • Compose commands for the asanas most important to you in our writing classes

  • Practice teaching Yoga in Spanish every day and get constructive feedback from the teachers

  • Suitable for beginners and more advanced speakers alike

“This course was fantastic. Andrew has established a thorough curriculum that covers everything you need to know about approaching yoga in a second language. Andrew and the native Spanish speakers who assisted him with this course were professional and very helpful. A great balance of teachings, self-study and practice.”

“Flying Tree’s language course was incredibly comprehensive, complete with a full yet concise manual, superb teaching through the head teacher and studio owner Andrew, and I was also given opportunities to co-teach with local Spanish speaking teachers in order to integrate and apply what I learned. I have now taught FOUR FULL CLASSES, completely in Spanish, on my own! It feels wonderful to finally be able to do it, and it was all because of Andrew and this course, my co teachers Natalie and Jose, and the beautiful Colombian community at Flying Tree!”
